The Abt 90th Anniversary Sale is Almost Here!
This is the year that Abt celebrates its 90th anniversary, and we're thrilled to share everything Abt with our customers, whether you've been shopping with us for years, across generations, or have just recently found Abt online. Our customers are what keep our family-owned business going strong. And while we're excited to be in our 90th year, we're also happy to share this celebration of who we are now and where we came from with you. Check out our sale deals here starting May 1.
The Unique History of Abt
You don't grow into a business in its 90th year of life without making some history along the way. Our business began back in 1936 with Jewel and David Abt. The two used Jewel's $800 savings to fund a dream, their new radio shop in Chicago. We've been following in their footsteps ever since they opened the doors of Abt: stick to service, don't cut corners, and sell amazing products that people will love.
Twenty years into business, it was time for Abt to expand. We moved to our Logan Square location and even had our own delivery van ... the first of what would one day become a fleet of hundreds of trucks. From here, Jewel and David's son Bob began working at the store full-time, bringing his innovative spirit to the family business. Further expansions moved Abt to Niles, then Morton Grove, and finally Glenview, where you can find the Abt store today. We've got more than just radios, with a fully-outfitted home appliance selection and wide collection of electronics, alongside a bevy of attractions (including a saltwater aquarium), an Atrium full of specialty boutiques and our recently upgraded furniture collection upstairs.
Though Abt has grown and moved since we first opened our doors, a few things have stayed the same. We're still owned and managed by the Abt family, with David and Jewel's grandchildren running the operation, and their great-grandchildren learning the ropes behind the scenes. We sell outside of Chicagoland as well, with local delivery reaching a 100-mile radius, and national delivery bringing the vast majority of our products all across the country, even by air. No matter how far we go or how we change, our values remain the same: we hold service to our customers above all else and sell the best products that we can. Our motto reflects our values: the answer is always yes to any reasonable request.

The Abt Anniversary Sale starts May 1 and will run all the way through May 10, with deals on everything you'd want for your home, and for the summer.
