CES 2025: TCL and The World’s Largest QD-Mini LED TV

Abt's video team speaking with CES 2025 representatives at the TCL booth
Welcome to CES 2025! Our experts are in Las Vegas exploring the showcase and seeing some of the most exciting innovations that may be coming to consumers in 2025 (along with some far-off concepts we won’t see for a while). But TCL is showing off very real products on the convention floor, including new Mini-LED TVs and even a QD-Mini LED TV. Our team got a look at what the brand is calling the world’s largest QD-Mini LED TV, from a brand we carry at Abt. Get a first look at TCL’s QM6K and QM7K television.

The QM6K: An Upgrade for All

An image of the CES floor, TCL booth & TVs
Unlike some of TCL’s past televisions, the QM6K is a true upgrade into Mini-LED technology for the brand. Keep in mind that TCL is known for balancing budget-friendliness with modern technology; this model pushes the envelope of what you can expect with next-gen tech screen tech. These televisions are designed to be affordable and impressive, showing off 500 local dimming zones as well as a 144Hz panel. Other exciting stats? With Game Accelerator mode, it can go as far as 288Hz VRR. Meanwhile, Google TV offers hands-free voice controls. At CES 2025, TCL is pushing the focus onto new backlight technology. Their Dynamic Light Algorithm assesses incoming video so that standard definition renders at near-HD levels for upgraded visuals. Other upgrades include tackling some of the consistent downsides of Mini-LED TVs, like the common blooming effect. TCL even mentioned the different sizes they’ll be releasing for the QM6K series: a 50-inch all the way up to a 98-inch model.

The QM7K: The World’s Largest QD-Mini-LED TV

Their next innovation breaks barriers: meet what TCL is calling the world’s largest QD-Mini LED TV, their 115″ QD-Mini LED TV QM7K. The massive 115″ television uses QD-Mini LED technology instead of classic Mini-LED technology. You might wonder what the difference is (or if you follow TV tech, you may already know). QD stands for Quantum Dot. When Quantum Dot technology is added, the television shows off a much brighter picture—that means that this massive theater-sized screen brings bold contrast and incredible brightness to any space. With the device’s large size and accompanying technology, this TCL television is a sight to be seen.
We can't wait to learn more about both of these TVs, and it’s the massive 115-inch monolith was an amazing sight to see at CES 2025! Whether you're interested in upgrading to a Mini-LED TV this year or are excited about the latest technology, you’ll definitely want to keep an eye on TCL in the year ahead. Keep following us to see more from CES 2025.
