CES 2026: The New ASUS Zenbook Duo
If you've followed our CES coverage in the past (or shopped for a PC in the last few years) you may have seen a curious looking laptop, the ASUS Zenbook Duo. This portable 2-in-1 PC is unlike any other, made up entirely of two hinged touchscreens. When closed, it looks like a classic laptop, but when the ASUS Zenbook Duo opens, you see both OLED screens along with everything a Windows 11 computer has to offer—all on two touchscreens. We covered the previous Zenbook Duo at CES 2024, but this model is a complete revamp with all of the upgrades we've been waiting for. Check out what ASUS showed off at CES 2026.
New, Durable Body & an Upgraded Hideaway Hinge
The existing ASUS Zenbook Duo laptops have brought incredible functionality and a lightweight design to the on-the-go user, but a bit of extra strength was missing from the build quality. ASUS has righted the design with their new Ceraluminum™ chassis and stand (along with the rest of the brand's line of Zenbooks). Another huge upgrade to the body is the new hinge. Called a hideaway hinge, this allows the 2-in-1 laptop to lie completely flat on a table as you work, whether you're sketching with a stylus (like the ASUS Pen 3.0) or taking notes. The gap between the two OLED screens is nearly eliminated, too, leaving just under 9mm between the two. With the device's added durability and the near-gapless hideaway hinge, the ASUS Zenbook Duo has received shocking improvements to the design.
Unbeatable Displays—Plural
We've noted that the most exciting element of the ASUS Zenbook Duo is its dual screens, and these screens have been completely boosted with the new ASUS Lumina Pro OLED touchscreens. Between 3K resolution, 1000 nits of brightness and 48-144Hz refresh rate, everything you watch, create, edit and see onscreen will look its best. And just like the previous model, these screens are nothing if not flexible. Users can set their screen up in a few different ways, from using both screens in a dual monitor mode with a detachable Bluetooth keyboard to using it in laptop mode and more. With so much flexibility, a strong construction and bright, beautiful screens, the ASUS Zenbook Duo has been crafted to help you reach true productivity mode.
The Power Inside
This CES 2026 computer is more than just beautiful (and unique)—it's powered up by the latest tech. Led by an Intel Core™ Ultra Series 3 processor and an NPU that sports 50 TOPS of performance for AI tasks, this Copilot+ PC is ready to help you move through the day's tasks, from tackling the to-do list to pushing through work to playing video games. Models with Intel Arc™ graphics cards give you incredible graphics processing power. Powerful cooling technology goes to work to keep all of these components cool when things kick into high gear, too. A true upgrade that all users will appreciate? A longer battery life. The new ASUS Zenbook Duo features a 99Whr battery, while the 2024 model had just a 75Whr battery. With the stats showcased here, you can bring this computer anywhere and keep the power going.
Better Audio for True Immersion
Another true improvement ASUS has made to this computer is in its audio quality. Everything has been overhauled: hinge-mounted tweeters and Dual Diaphragm speakers are just part of the new six-speaker setup, and every element is designed to bring louder, more accurate sound to whatever you hear. Whether you're watching a show, listening to a playlist or creating your own mixes, you'll hear it at its best on these new speakers.
Connections Everywhere
The previous iteration was loved for its many ports, and connectivity is still incredible with the newest ASUS Zenbook Duo. Unlike some lighter laptops that sacrifice ports for form, this model strikes the perfect balance with a full HDMI 2.1 port, two USB-C with Thunderbolt 4 ports, an audio jack, a USB-A connector and, of course, the wireless keyboard that can either cover one screen in a clamshell design or detach and stay Bluetooth-connected. A stylus completes the touchscreen package for anyone who loves taking notes, making art or just doodling.
The 2026 model of the ASUS Zenbook Duo brings the best of the 2024 version along with it, all while improving on body strength, a more perfected hinge, better battery life and even stronger processing from Intel. This is a multifunctional computer that anyone—and everyone—can love. The brand has not yet announced a release date or pricing yet, but we'll be waiting patiently to see if this new 2-in-1 device lives up to the hype. CES 2026 is still going, and you can find all of our coverage of electronics, appliances and everything new here at Abt.
