How to Build Your Abt Wedding Registry
How Do I Register at Abt?
To get started, click on the registry icon that follows you across the site:
From there, you can build your registry in a few simple steps. Click the "Get Started" button on the wedding registry page, where you'll be prompted to login or create an abt.com account if you don't have one already.
Next, you'll fill out the Event Information section. Give your registry a title; you can also fill out a custom message that will display on your registry. This is a great space to thank your loved ones for their generosity. Next, select your event type (in this instance, we're talking about our wedding registry) and add the date of your big day; it's standard to use the wedding date on a wedding registry, but you are also welcome to use the date of your bridal shower. We recommend using your wedding date on your registry to avoid confusion.
If you're ready for the people invited to your event to see your registry, be sure to click the Make Public box so they can find it. If you want to fully build your registry before it can be found, or you're getting a head start on your registry, consider leaving the box unchecked for now. Don't forget to make your wedding registry public once your shower invitations have been mailed!
Then, you'll fill out the Registrant(s) information section. Add your name and, if you want, the name of a co-registrant (this will most likely be your future spouse).
After that, be sure to add your shipping information to ensure your gifts get to the right place. Don't worry; this is for shipping purposes only, and Abt will not share your address with individuals viewing your registry. Click the Save button and you're ready to start adding items!
There are two easy ways to start registering for products at Abt. Once you click the Save button, you'll be directed to your registry: click the Start Shopping button to go to our homepage, where you can see new arrivals and top categories. Otherwise, you can start navigating around the site as you please.
Adding Items to Your Abt Wedding Registry
Great news—the KitchenAid mixer you've been waiting to register for is at Abt. If you're looking at a list of products in a category, hover over the heart icon in the top right corner to add an item to your registry.
If you're on a product page, there are two ways to add it to your registry: click on that same heart icon, or click on the Add to Registry button on the right-hand side of the screen.
Managing Your Registry
Our registry interface is made to be easy to use for you and for your guests. Once you've added items, you can sort them by category, price or priority. If there's an item you must have, use the priority feature to let guests know it's one of your most-wanted items: five hearts is for highest priority, one heart is for lowest priority. It's an easy way to help your guests shop.
Do you have a family member that prefers to shop in person? You can also print them a copy of your registry so they can easily find your items at our Glenview store.
