    When you subscribe to ecobee Smart Security, SmartSensor’s motion sensor alerts you to any in-home activity detected when you are away and the home is armed. While you’re home, the contact sensor continues to monitor your entranceways, but the motion sensor turns off to avoid sending unnecessary notifications.
