With an $800 investment during the Great Depression, Jewel and Dave Abt Founded Abt Radio on Milwaukee Avenue in Chicago in 1936. Bob Abt continues to nurture the growth of the family business in a tough economic climate, since assuming control over forty years ago. His work ethic - honesty, integrity, hard work, attention to detail and total customer satisfaction - are deep rooted, a legacy passed on to him by his parents who founded Abt Radio 66 years ago. Today, Abt Electronics is a premier independent family-run appliance and electronics retailer in the Chicagoland area, credited to management's initiative and commitment to change.
