Abt Proudly Expands Their Store Offerings

After 76 Years Abt Continues to Grow and Give Consumers What They Want

Glenview, Ill.,June 19, 2012 — Since going into business in 1936, Abt Electronics in Glenview, Il, knows the best way to be successful is to continually listen to their customers' needs. Abt Electronics is adding an entirely new second floor by taking their store's already impressive 100,000 square-foot showroom upwards. This new loft area being built within their 20,000 square-foot Venetian-style Atrium, will be complete with a new glass escalator and elevator to take customers to the new upper-level of the store. The space will soon be the home to one of Abt's latest offerings — their bedding department.

Abt will stock popular brands such as TEMPUR-PEDIC, Sterns & Foster, Simmons, and will be the only Chicago-area store to offer the brand Carpe Diem. "This is a brand new segment of Abt's store," says Abt's bedding department manager Geoff Imhof. "The new Atrium Loft area has been designed specifically for this department, to highlight our selection of mattresses and other department offerings." In addition to mattresses, the 5,000 square-foot department will also carry select furniture, pillows, linens, and mattress protection products. Customers can expect this bedding department to open in August.

Another new offering launching this month at Abt is their home security service available throughout Illinois and Wisconsin. A team of licensed and certified security installers will work with customers to find a system that fits their individual needs within a range of budgets. Abt security services include installing door and window sensors, motion detectors, glass break detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, smoke detectors, shock sensors, and burglar and fire panels. Abt is working with trusted brands such as, GE Security, Honeywell, Elk, and Ademco.
