Abt Electronics Welcomes Back Weekend Grill Demonstrations

Renowned Chef and Two-Time World Barbecue Champion Charlie McKenna to Showcase Weber Grilling Products on June 4

GLENVIEW, Ill. – Abt Electronics, the country’s largest independently-owned, single-location retailer of electronics, appliances and home goods, has welcomed back grill demonstrations for the first time in three years. Grill demonstrations began the first weekend of May and continue through the last weekend of July.

Every weekend from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., representatives from top grill brands will be at the front of the store at 1200 N Milwaukee Ave demonstrating their products. Along with grill models, customers are also able to see the brand’s smokers and grill accessories on display. The weekend grill demos will give Abt customers a chance to see the newest outdoor cooking products in action and sample some food. The grill demonstrations will include grills and grilling products from brands such as:

• Broil King
• Evo
• Viking
• Coyote
• Napoleon
• Lynx
• Alfa
• Weber

On Saturday, June 4, Weber brought renowned chef and two-time World Barbecue Champion, Charlie McKenna, to the store to lead a demonstration. Charlie opened the flagship Lillie’s Q restaurant in July 2010 in Chicago, named for his Grandmother Lillie, who taught him the art of Southern cooking back home in Greenville, SC. Charlie will be grilling on two different Weber grills: a GENESIS grill and the SmokeFire EX4 Wood Fired Pellet Grill.
