The three security modes offered on these devices (Away, Home and Disarmed) are explained in depth, as they can be used or triggered in multiple ways. When Away mode is activated, all sensors inside and outside the home are enabled. Home mode, on the other hand, just enables the perimeter sensors. Disarmed turns the system off altogether. While you can use your unique four-digit access code on the keypad to both arm and disarm your Ring system, you can also access these same controls on the compatible Ring app. If you accidentally trip sensors in the process of arming your security system, you always have the option to clear these alarms or bypass them, although bypassing will not monitor those same sensors when armed.
