The engineers at LG have worked to craft different ways for washers to move with the assistance of a direct-drive motor. The idea is to treat different types of clothing and fabrics the way they're meant to be treated, with the goal of giving your possessions a longer lifespan. It all happens automatically based on the cycle you choose as you load your laundry. The result? Six different wash movements that vary depending on the cycle. There's a scrubbing motion designed to truly penetrate deep-set stains that have settled into fabric, while another motion is crafted just for delicates(all with a gentle swinging motion). It's all possible thanks to the new direct drive motor that attaches to the drum: there are no traditional belts and pulleys that offer classic motion. All you have to do is choose the proper cycle for what you're cleaning, and the LG 6-motion washer is ready to take care of the rest. The 6 motions include scrubbing, rolling, stepping, swinging, tumble, and filtration, all designed to deliver different results.
