In this video, Abt technologist Carl shows you how to replace the ULTRAWF water filter in your Frigidaire refrigerator. When you open up your refrigerator door, you'll easily locate the water filter compartment at the top right of the appliance. Push the end of the filter in until you hear a clicking sound. Once it clicks, the filter will pop out. When you pull the old filter out, you will notice two nozzles at the top and a ridge on the back. The ridge fits into the groove at the top of the water filter compartment. Push your new filter into the compartment with the nozzles facing in until you hear a snap. When pushing your filter, do not be afraid to use a little force. To test if you've replaced it correctly, try pulling on the filter. If it does not come out, your new water filter is secure and ready to work. Before drinking from the built-in water dispenser, you must run two gallons of water through to eliminate any traces of sediment. The manufacturer recommends changing your water filter every six months, but there is also an indicator light on the front of your refrigerator that will alert you when the time has come.
