The B&W AM1 Architectural Monitor brings high-quality sound outside with their weatherproof design. These loudspeakers utilize a rear-mounted auxiliary bass radiator (ABR) to dramatically enhance their low-frequency capabilities. In addition to providing fuller sound quality, the ABR design allows the AM-1 to remain fully sealed to protect them from the elements. A 5" glass-fibre driver makes the most of this sophisticated architecture, bringing the sound quality you expect from Bowers & Wilkins into a discrete package.
The AM-1 employs a 1" aluminum-dome tweeter to create precise highs. By placing this tweeter below the larger driver, B&W ensures that the upper register of your music comes through clean, even when mounted high against a wall. The inventive one-plug mounting system simplifies installation, allowing you to place the B&W AM1 wherever you need them. Their cast aluminum bracket secures the speaker vertically or horizontally while granting the speaker 220 degrees of rotation. And with a cabinet specially designed to protect the speaker from the elements, the AM-1 will continue to bring incredible sound to any environment you find for them.
