The 120 fps⁶ capability of the a9 Ill with its global shutter is fully supported. The FE 85mm F1.4 GM II offers extraordinary creative control for serious portraiture.

  XA (extreme aspherical) elements, refined optics, XD (extreme dynamic) linear motors, and a compact circular aperture unit pack superb large aperture performance into a barrel that measures just 3-3/8” (84.7mm) x 4-1/4” (107.3 mm) and weighs only 22.7 oz. (642 g). That's about 13%⁶ less volume and 20%⁶ less mass for outstanding agility and ergonomics.

  Two ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements significantly reduce flare and ghosting by taking axial chromatic aberration and chromatic aberration (due to differences in magnification) out of the picture.
