This relatively new brand can trace its origins to a single 8" Steelport knife in 2021, which co-founder and bladesmith Eytan Zias passionately helped design and craft. Every Steelport knife is made in Portland, Oregon, with expert methods that leave no two blades the same. American-Made Blades

Weightier than the popular Santoku but incorporating some of the shape with a "sheepsfoot" tip, a chef's blade like this can handle the vast majority of your kitchen tasks. As the first blade the brand came out with, every element has been thought of from the design's inception.

Each model is made from 52100 carbon steel used in the forger's one-piece traditional drop forged construction. The edge is then hardened for true sharpness, all while the spine stays soft. The result? A Steelport knife made to last.

Real Wood Handles

Steelport Knife Co. makes its handles with an enormous amount of care. Speaking to the business' locale in Oregon, they use Big Leaf Maple Burl in every handle. Here, they combine the burl wood with resin for a material that's tough enough to handle chef-worthy tasks. No two burls are the same, and that ensures that every handle is completely unique—plus, they won't shrink or swell.
