• Good to know
  The Power Extender Kit comes with all ecobee smart thermostats except for the Smart Thermostat Essential and Smart Thermostat Lite. Also keep in mind that it is only compatible with ecobee smart thermostats.
• Check whether your thermostat requires the Power Extender Kit
  Most ecobee thermostat installations do not require the Power Extender Kit. To find out if your installation needs the Power Extender Kit, use the Thermostat Compatibility Checker before purchasing.
• Compatibility
  The Power Extender Kit comes with all ecobee thermostats except Smart Thermostat Essential and Smart Thermostat Lite (but is compatible with those models, as well) and only works with 24 VAC systems. Millivolt, high-voltage systems, dual transformer and fan coil or communicating units are incompatible.
