Kanto YU6G2VMU Yu6 (2nd Gen) Powered Bookshelf Speakers in Ice Blue (Pair)
The Kanto YU6G2VMU Yu6 (2nd Gen) powered bookshelf speaker system combines 130 W RMS built-in amplification, abaca-paper woofers and an Ice Blue laminate finish. Sold as an active and passive stereo pair, it connects records and digital music through a selectable phono input, USB-C audio, optical, 3.5 mm AUX and Bluetooth 5.3 with SBC and AAC support. A subwoofer output automatically engages an 80 Hz crossover when a separate subwoofer is connected. Move between vinyl, computer audio and wireless music while keeping the same two-channel speaker setup.
Key Features
Fuller Sound With Silk and Abaca-Paper Drivers
Each cabinet combines a 1 in silk-dome tweeter with a 5.25 in abaca-paper cone woofer. The driver pairing balances high-frequency detail with bass weight, bringing definition to treble and substance to lower notes. A 55 Hz-22 kHz frequency response gives you a concrete reference for evaluating bass extension before adding a subwoofer.
Greater Headroom With 130 W RMS Amplification
DSP-controlled Class-D amplification provides 130 W RMS and 200 W peak output for the system, not per speaker. Built-in amplification eliminates the need for a separate amplifier, while the system's headroom supports dynamic musical passages and larger-room listening.
From Vinyl to Digital
Connect a turntable directly through the RCA input's selectable phono preamp, or use the analog connections for other sources. USB-C brings computer audio into the system, while optical TOSLINK provides a wired path from a compatible TV. Both digital inputs support audio up to 24 bit/96 kHz, and a 3.5 mm AUX input adds another analog option. For wireless music from a phone, Bluetooth 5.3 supports SBC and AAC codecs.
Smarter Bass With an Automatic 80 Hz Crossover
Connecting a separate subwoofer activates an automatic high/low-pass filter at 80 Hz. Low frequencies are redirected to the subwoofer so the bookshelf speakers can concentrate on the remaining range, helping improve clarity and impact. This gives you a defined path to expanding bass performance; a subwoofer is not included.
A Stereo Pair With Wired Setup
The package includes one active speaker and one passive speaker, a power cord and 15 ft of speaker wire for the speaker-to-speaker connection. Wireless streaming does not replace these power and speaker-wire connections. A 6 ft RCA-to-3.5 mm cable, eight silicone rubber feet, an infrared remote control, a user manual and a quick start guide are also supplied. Use the included remote for everyday operation.
Ice Blue Cabinetry and Flexible Placement
Hand-built cabinets wear a durable Ice Blue laminate finish. Swappable left/right channels let you choose which side holds the active speaker, and 1/4 in-20 bottom mounting threads support stand mounting with separately purchased stands. A USB-C charging output supplies 5 V at 1.5 A for a compatible device, separate from the USB-C audio input.
