REL Acoustics HT/1205MKII WHITE Serie HT 12-Inch Powered Subwoofer in White (Each)
The REL Acoustics HT/1205MKII WHITE Serie HT powered subwoofer pairs a sealed, front-firing 12 in CarbonGlas driver with a built-in 500-watt RMS Class D amplifier and in-room low-frequency extension of -6 dB at 22 Hz. Low-level stereo RCA and LFE RCA connections support home theater and music-system use. Designed to balance forceful effects with delicate sounds and their decay, it brings the physical involvement of film soundtracks into the listening room. A glossy white top and fine-grain white cabinet finish suit visible living spaces.
Key Features
12 in CarbonGlas Long-Throw Driver
A revised glass-fiber cone weave and inverted carbon-fiber center cap reinforce the moving surface without excessive moving mass. Strengthened suspension, a custom surround and flexible tinsel leads accommodate greater excursion, helping the driver handle the substantial dynamics of movie effects while retaining the design's attention to delicate sounds.
500 Watts RMS of Built-In Class D Power
The amplifier, power supply and output stages were redeveloped together with the driver, rather than treating the woofer as an isolated upgrade. Cool-running Class D amplification conserves cabinet volume, and the built-in design means you do not need a separate power amplifier for the subwoofer.
PerfectFilters for Impact and Detail
Low-bass shaping works with revised secondary filtering to keep an explosion's initial attack from getting lost beneath its heavier low-frequency component. Subsonic filtering begins at 8 Hz to protect against excessive infrabass; that setting is protective, not a claim of usable bass extension to 8 Hz.
Braced Sealed Enclosure
A felt-lined motor-support brace supports the driver assembly and damps the enclosure walls. Its layout leaves the motor's rear ventilation path unobstructed, rather than placing a conventional brace directly behind it. This construction supports the moving assembly without blocking its airflow.
RCA/LFE Connections and Manual Integration
Use the LFE RCA input for a system's dedicated .1 channel, or the low-level stereo RCA inputs for a line-level music connection. A 30-200 Hz adjustable crossover, 0/180 degrees phase switch and expanded gain-matching range help blend bass with high- or low-efficiency speakers. Matching RCA daisy-chain outputs support additional subwoofer connections. This RCA-only design does not support XLR connections or vertical line-array stacking.
Optional HT-Air MKII Wireless
When a long RCA run would complicate placement, the compatible HT-Air MKII wireless adapter offers an alternative signal connection. It is sold separately, not built into the subwoofer. AC power is still required, and the supplied 6 ft power cord handles the subwoofer's mains connection; an RCA interconnect is not included.
White Finish with Contrasting Textures
A glossy white top contrasts with a finer white line-grain body texture, giving the cabinet a lighter presence in a decorated room. The white grille, light-gray feet and soft-gold crown logo with a slight rose-gold tone complete the finish. Styling is intended to harmonize with Serie T/x and Serie S components in mixed movie and music systems.

Yes. Although designed primarily for home theater, it also supports music systems using line-level subwoofer connections. The sealed, front-firing design combines a CarbonGlas driver with filtering designed to preserve transient attack and low-level decay.
